Vipassana – to see things as they really are.
I sit on a cushion in a low lit room with my eyes closed. My whole body tingles and I am weightless, completely unaware of the outside world, and even the other 30 something people sitting around me. What am I feeling? Change. Everything changes, constantly. I feel the particles my body is made up of change every second, my thoughts change, my feelings change. My life has gone through a complete transformation this year. This has been the year of change and growth. My job is now different, I have like 75% less stuff, I’m saying goodbye to my home of 4 years, I’ve said buh-bye to my twenties, but there’s one thing I’ve yet to part with. To me, yoga is balance, centeredness, movement, breath, meditation, a connection between my mind and body.
